The Nutcracker Ballet comes to Theatre Royal Windsor – Days Out Berkshire

The enchanting tale of The Nutcracker is one of the best-loved ballets and centres around Clara and her nutcracker doll, which magically transforms into a princely soldier. Woburn RNLI Reindeer Run – Days Out Bedfordshire
On Sunday 27th November, join in the pre-Christmas festivities and fun at the RNLI’s Reindeer Run, set in the beautiful deer park of Woburn Abbey.
You can enter yourself, or a team of up to six runners for the 10k or 5k runs. This year, all runners will get a fab RNLI Reindeer Run medal on crossing the line. Every entrant will be given a FREE pair of Reindeer antlers (complete with red flashing nose!) and FREE t-shirt. A hot drink and mince pie awaits you at the finish, plus there’ll be medals for runners, and prizes for best fancy dress!

Santa’s Steam Adventure in York – Days Out North Yorkshire
This Christmas, Santa isn’t delivering his presents by reindeer this year – instead he’s using a very special steam train at the National Railway Museum.
Visitors of all ages are invited to help Santa with his seasonal task by riding on board his special Xmas steam train with him. The journey begins in the Station Hall which has been transformed into Santa’s depot filled with presents, games and the museum’s toy collection from years gone by.
From here Santa’s helpers will then climb onboard a beautiful festive carriage pulled by steam train Teddy, and take part in a special interactive story telling adventure. Before the magical steam journey is over, children will meet Santa Claus himself and receive a special present to take home.

Olympic Flame to visit Ironbridge Gorge in 2012
Ironbridge Gorge Museums have just heard the news that the Olympic Flame will be visiting the World Heritage Site as part of next year’s Torch Relay. Whilst exact details of the route are still under cover, it was revealed today that the Torch will be carried over the great Iron Bridge and will then be carried along the River Severn before travelling on to Telford.
We are sure that it will attract a huge crowd of well-wishers, all keen to see the Torch before it moves elsewhere in the UK. So watch this space and we will let you know when we find out more.

Scrooge-in-a-Day at Theatre Royal Windsor – Days Out Berkshire
CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH SCROOGE-IN-A-DAY
After the success of Matilda-in-a-Day and Glee-in-a-Day, the Theatre Royal Windsor are delighted to be able to host Scrooge-in-a-Day! this December for ages 5-16 years. To celebrate the Christmas season of good will (and bah humbugs!), join them for a fun one-day course based on the classic Christmas story Scrooge. A mini-performance of Scrooge will take place in the Circle Bar at the end of the day for family and friends.
The course takes place on Tuesday 20th December from 9am onwards, with a 4pm Presentation in the Circle Bar.
