Santa Experience at Church Farm – Days Out Merseyside

Visit the Santa Experience at Church Farm on 17th/18th and 20th/21st Dec. It is sure to be a magical family trip that’ll leave you feeling as Christmassy as mince pie.

Santa drops in to Church Farm for a few days in December on his way to the North Pole. He also brings his friends the elves, Frosty the snowman, Rudolph and Polo Bear.

Come and visit the beautifully lit-up forest for songs, dancing and audience participation with the folk from the North Pole. Plus mulled wine and mince pies for adults, and chocolate gifts for children.

Marvel at your personalised visit – how do Santa and his friends know all the children’s names and what they want for Christmas? It’s magic!

Included in the Santa Experience ticket is a ride that lasts 30-45 minute), all-day access to farm animals and play area, chocolate gift for children, mulled wine and mince pie for adults.

Museums at Night 14th-16th May 2010

‘Museums at Night’ is a national campaign, led by Culture24, and funded by MLA and the National Museum Directors’ Conference (NMDC), to showcase the unique and vibrant museums, galleries, heritage sites, libraries and archives in the UK. Running over the weekend of Friday 14th May to Sunday 16th May, museums and galleries alike will aim to inspire fresh discovery by opening their doors to late night visitors.

Museums will be unrolling an imaginative array of activities across the country. From candle-lit readings, paranormal investigations, sleepovers, night-time tours, musical events and much, much more.

This year’s programme sees the return of firm favourites, like Cabinet War Rooms sleepover and the Old Operating Theatre at St Thomas Church, plus exciting new additions such as the; Helicopter Museum’s ‘Back to the Blitz’ experience, follow a night shift at Cornwall’s Geevor Tin Mine and the chance to see a ‘Light in the Night’ at Cromer’s Lifeboat Museum.

You can find up to date listings at the Culture 24 Website

In the Night Garden Live Tour

In the Night Garden Live is a new stage production especially created in a purpose built dome which will be touring the UK with shows in Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham and London.

This is going to be an amazing musical theatre experience for all the family. Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka will all be beautifully brought to life before your eyes using full size costumes, enchanting music, magical puppets and breathtaking projections.

The dome will protect you from the elements and provide plenty of loos, baby changing facilities and buggy parking.

There are two different shows to choose from – each one lasts an hour and follows a different story starring all the main characters. You can choose which one to see – so will you catch the Ninky Nonk or the Pinky Ponk?
