Family Days Out: Peppa Pig World Opens Sat 9th April

Peppa Pig World will soon be opening at Paultons Family Theme Park in Hampshire. If my son’s enthusiasm for the series is anything to go by it is bound to be very popular.

The 7 rides will be Peppa Pig family car, Miss Rabbit’s helicopter, Grandpa Pig’s train, George’s dinosaur, a Balloon ride, Danny Dog’s car, George’s boat and a ride in the “cloud” around Windy Castle. Kids will also be able to splash in muddy puddles and take a tour of Peppa Pig’s house.

Take a look for yourself:

Open day at Millers Ark Farm, Hampshire

On Saturday July 10th you can meet their friendly animals: baby donkeys, piglets, sheep, baby goats, Thor the Shire Horse, ducklings and more.
Cuddle and groom them and enjoy their well loved annual livestock reduction sale too.

As they are losing their tenancy at Roke Farm this Autumn they have opened a rehoming fund and launched the “Save Miller’s Ark Campaign” so it is all in a good cause.

There will be tractor rides, straw play, a barbecue and delicious barn teas. Adults £5. Children £5. Under 1’s free.

Museums at Night 14th-16th May 2010

‘Museums at Night’ is a national campaign, led by Culture24, and funded by MLA and the National Museum Directors’ Conference (NMDC), to showcase the unique and vibrant museums, galleries, heritage sites, libraries and archives in the UK. Running over the weekend of Friday 14th May to Sunday 16th May, museums and galleries alike will aim to inspire fresh discovery by opening their doors to late night visitors.

Museums will be unrolling an imaginative array of activities across the country. From candle-lit readings, paranormal investigations, sleepovers, night-time tours, musical events and much, much more.

This year’s programme sees the return of firm favourites, like Cabinet War Rooms sleepover and the Old Operating Theatre at St Thomas Church, plus exciting new additions such as the; Helicopter Museum’s ‘Back to the Blitz’ experience, follow a night shift at Cornwall’s Geevor Tin Mine and the chance to see a ‘Light in the Night’ at Cromer’s Lifeboat Museum.

You can find up to date listings at the Culture 24 Website
