Have been to -
Eden project – great, especially in winter when they have a skating rink. Even at other times there’s loads to see. Wear lots of layers and be prepared for small children to “get naked” by the end of the tropical biome visit.
Legoland – great for small kids, but horrendously expensive. Stick your smallest in a borrowed buggy to get them in free, and scan papers for vouchers.
Longleat – too much to see in a day. Buy the “come again” ticket and come again within the year. If you value your car, don’t drive it through the monkey enclosure.
London Dungeon – great if your kids are a bit older and not easily scared. Pretty gruesome. My son loved it.
Ironbridge – I went years ago before children and loved it. I keep meaning to take the kids. Great if they’re studying Victorian period, which they all do at some point in their primary years.
